Several local businesses have been recognised for their outstanding achievements at the 2024 Alcoa Peel Business Excellence Awards.
The gala evening, held on November 16 at Lane Group Stadium, was hosted by the Peel Chamber of Commerce and Industry and celebrated the innovation, dedication, and success of businesses within the community.
Hayes Tree Care took out 2024 Business of the Year along with a $5000 advertising package from West Coast Radio.
The judges were highly impressed with the thriving business which is built on strong community values, sustainable practices, and a commitment to professionalism.

The judges highlighted their dedication to combating food poverty and supporting vulnerable families across Mandurah and the Peel region.
Through partnerships with organisations like OzHarvest and SecondBite, Bridge Builders diverts surplus food from landfills to create tailored hampers that provide vital nourishment and ease financial stress for local families.
Their Backpack Buddies program further supports children’s health and focus, helping them return to school ready to learn.

This year, all entries were assessed through a rigorous and impartial judging process, independently conducted by Edith Cowan University.
