A 30-year-old Warnbro man has been charged in relation to the theft of a fire truck and fuel drive-off at Preston Beach.
Based on information provided by the public, two people pictured in CCTV images from a fuel drive-off incident at a Preston Beach service station have been identified.
Police have also confirmed the vehicle that stopped at the servo on Tuesday is the fire appliance that was stolen from Pemberton in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Yesterday, detectives from the Regional Investigations Unit located one of the men in the Perth metropolitan area.
The 30 year old man from Warnbro has been charged with a number of offences including stealing a motor vehicle, driving a forged vehicle, three counts of stealing and three counts of no authority to drive.
He was refused bail and is due to appear in the Armadale Magistrates Court today.
Pemberton Police are continuing inquiries into the whereabouts of the second person who was pictured with the vehicle at the Preston Beach fuel drive-off incident.
