Peel Thunder have just one more chance of making a WAFL grand final after going down to Swan Districts by 17-points at Lane Group Stadium at the weekend.

The Thunder started strong in the first quarter of the qualifying final on Saturday, but the Swans piled on the goals in the second and third terms, eventually sealing the 10.5 (65) to 7.6 (48) victory.

Coach Adam Read said his side just weren't good enough on the day.

"We're disappointed...credit to Swan Districts I thought their pressure was excellent, we were just unable to really convert our opportunities," he said.

Peel will take now take on Claremont in a semi-final at Lane Group Stadium on Sunday, their last chance at a WAFL premiership.

Read said they won't be making any drastic changes to their preparation.

"We'll just stick to our process, it's done us really well over the course of the season and we've got great trust in it," he said.

"We've had a couple of good battles against them (Claremont) this year, it's one and one.

"They're a really strong side, got a good midfield, they move the ball with great speed and we're looking forward to the challenge.

"At least having another home game gives us a great advantage, we love our fans they energy and we're looking forward to seeing everyone in their teal on the weekend."

Bounce down is at 2.10pm on Sunday, September 8.
