Peel Thunder have pulled off a miraculous one-point win over Claremont in a semi-final showdown at Lane Group Stadium.

It was neck-and-neck the entire game, but it was Peel veteran Blair Bell who had the final say, booting the match winning goal just seconds before the siren.

"I was actually thinking, 'I'm going to kick the winner here', and it just turned out," Blair told Channel 7 after the game.

"Bit of luck, I got one off the front of the stoppage, steadied and put it through so I couldn't be happier, now we get to go again."

Bell admitted it would probably be his last game at Lane Group Stadium with the veteran, dubbed 'The Mayor of Mandurah', set to retire.

"That could probably be my last game here so it's a good way to finish," he said.

Matt Taberner was also instrumental with three goals and Neil Erasmus finished with 26 disposals in the 7.7 (49) to 6.12 (48) victory.

The Thunder will now take on Swan Districts at Steel Blue Oval on Sunday, September 15 in a preliminary final.

The winner will face East Perth in the grand final.
