The owners of Coogee's popular Surfing Lizard café will be opening a new café at the Secret Harbour Surf Life Saving Club.
Tam and Ngan Tran signed a five-year lease earlier this month for the the ground floor space of the clubhouse which has been vacant for several years now.
The new café is set to be named the Surfing Mermaid and will serve coffee, breakfast and lunch.
The process of fitting out the space is now underway with the owners hoping the café will be open in time for summer.
