The State Government is offering a $1 million reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for the murder of senior Rebels bikie Nick Martin.
Mr Martin was at the Perth Motorplex in Kwinana on Saturday night with his wife and several other Rebels members and associates when he was shot in the torso around 8.40pm.
He could not be revived.
WA Police have since formed Taskforce Ravello which brings together specialist officers from the Gang Crime and Homicide Squads.
"This weekend's killing displayed an open contempt for the law and for the people of this state," Police Minister Michelle Roberts said.
"Families and individuals deserve to go about their lawful business in peace and security, and not have this sort of trauma inflicted upon them by those who operate outside the law.
"The offering of this reward is a measure of how seriously the Government takes this matter and I urge anyone who knows anything, to disregard manufactured codes of silence designed to protect the guilty."
The Government may be prepared to consider recommending a protection from prosecution or pardon for any informant with information that leads to the conviction of the person or persons responsible, provided that the informant was not directly responsible for the homicide.
