The opening of the historic Exchange Hotel in Pinjarra is just around the corner.

The 150-year-old building has undergone a major $10 million redevelopment and is set to open its doors in spring.

Shire President David Bolt said the iconic venue is close to being ready for the public to enjoy.

“The Exchange Hotel is a game changer for Pinjarra. We are thrilled to see it being close to completion and the vision come to life,” President Bolt said.

“The redevelopment and reactivation of the Exchange Hotel will create a regional icon and destination hospitality venue to be enjoyed by local people and visitors alike.”

The hotel will be operated by Karl and Janine Bullers, who have a vision to support local producers and delivering products and experiences designed to appeal to a wide audience.

“We have worked hard to ensure we are preserving the heritage of this 130+-year old building while creating a modern hospitality environment for people to come together, love and enjoy," Mr Bullers said.

“With the internal fit-out almost complete, it won’t be long before the public can enjoy live entertainment, and a great range of food and beverages overlooking the beautiful Murray River to create new memories and reminisce on old ones at the Exchange Hotel."
