A 30-year-old man has been charged after allegedly stabbing a nurse at Royal Perth Hospital.
The 55-year-old female victim was interacting with a patient when the man allegedly approached her from behind and stabbed her in the neck with a makeshift weapon around 1.30am on Sunday.
She remained at the hospital for treatment.
A man from Gnowangerup has been charged with assaulting a public officer and possessing a controlled weapon in a manner to likely cause injury.
He is due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on May 27.
