A new shade shelter at San Remo Beach is proving to be a hit with locals and tourists.
The $30,000 structure was partly constructed using recycled timber from the Old Mandurah Bridge.
Local fabricators Bouvard Marine carried out the detailed laser cut aluminium.
Member for Mandurah David Templeman said the project was funded through the McGowan Government’s Local Projects, Local Jobs initiative along with $10,000 from the City of Mandurah.
“Not only does this shelter improve the amenity of this beautiful beach, it has also provided work for a local business and that means supporting local jobs," Mr Templeman said.
