A Mandurah mother who now suffers short term memory loss after she was seriously injured in a crash in Meadow Springs fears she may lose her home.
Tammy Docking, 47, was driving to work on February 11 when a man allegedly ran a red light and crashed into her car on Mandurah Road.
Her daughter Tanique Docking claims the man was speeding.
"He t-boned her at 100 to 120km/h," she told Nine News.
Ms Docking suffered serious head injuries and was rushed to hospital where she spent six days in the trauma unit at Royal Perth.
"It's now been nearly 3 months since her accident and she is not allowed to work nor drive," Tanique said on a GoFundMe page set up for her mother.
"She suffers with some brain damage and her knee is damaged from the car crash. She is a single mother to 3 children. We are struggling to even buy food, along with all the bills we have to pay."
Police say the 49-year-old driver of the Jeep Cherokee that allegedly hit Ms Docking's car is expected to be charged, but they are waiting for the results of a blood test to determine if he was under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
