Avalon Point is the latest location along Mandurah's coastline where someone has spotted a shark.
A member of the public reported seeing a 2.5 metre shark today at Avalon Point, a little south of where a whale carcass washed up on Monday.
Two excavators removed the rotting whale from Halls Head beach on Tuesday but Surf Life Saving WA issued another shark warning as residue from the carcass may still attract sharks.
Beaches remain closed between Falcon Bay and Doddies beach.
