An event to celebrate World Wetlands Day will be held in Mandurah.
The Mandurah Environmental Volunteer Alliance will host the event, bringing together more than 20 community groups to celebrate and raise awareness of our beautiful waterways, wetlands and biodiversity.
The event will be held on Sunday, February 2 from 10am until 3pm at the Eastern Foreshore.
The community is invited to come along and join in the following:
- Participate in family-friendly educational activities
- Meet local volunteer groups
- Learn about our waterways and biodiversity
- Find out about local volunteer opportunities
- Discover more about beach access for people of all abilities – On the day, the City will have two beach wheelchairs for people to check out, as well as information about how to hire them, information about beach matting locations, and a range of other resources supporting universal access to our waterways for people of all abilities.
