
A learner driver has lost his licence after he was allegedly caught speeding and drink driving in Singleton.
The L plater was stopped during a driving lesson in Singleton late yesterday afternoon when he was allegedly caught doing 73km/h in a 50km/h zone.
The teen then allegedly blew 0.031 in a roadside breath test.
As well as losing his licence for at least three months, the learner driver is set to be hit with a $400 fine and the loss of three demerit points for the speeding infringement.
Under WA law, any novice driver who records between 0.02 and less than 0.05 is subject to a minimum three-month disqualification and a $150 fine.
The West reports the teen now appear in court at a later date on two charges of speeding and excess 0.02.
