Kwinana's community vaccination clinic is now offering the Pfizer vaccine to eligible people.

The clinic - with a capacity to vaccinate up to 4,000 people a week - aims to boost access to COVID-19 vaccines for people living in Perth's southern suburbs.

The Pfizer vaccine is available for Western Australians aged 40-59 and AstraZeneca for the over 60s.

People who are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander and are 16 years and over are eligible for the Pfizer vaccine and should register and book in.

Pfizer appointments will be offered Tuesday to Thursday each week at the Kwinana Supa Centre (46 Meares Avenue) in the Kwinana Town Centre.

Anyone aged 60 years or over is eligible for the AstraZeneca vaccine, and this will be offered at the Kwinana clinic on Mondays and Fridays.

"Demand for the Kwinana Clinic has been really strong, and we are pleased to see more than 27,000 have booked their vaccinations at this centre," Health Minister Roger Cook said.

"The recent COVID-19 cases in Victoria remind us that people should not wait until WA has another outbreak before booking a vaccination.

"Vaccination will help to reduce the spread of infection and severity of illness if you are infected."

People aged 30 to 39 who have made bookings at State-run clinics will be vaccinated.

Bookings for this cohort have been extremely high and appointments are already booked out until August.

People aged 30 to 39 who have not yet made a booking are encouraged to go to https://rollup.wa.gov.au and register their details.

They will be contacted to make a booking when more supply of Pfizer vaccine becomes available from the Federal Government.

To date, more than 616,778 COVID-19 vaccination doses have been administered in WA.

Bookings can be made by visiting https://rollup.wa.gov.au or by calling 13 COVID (13 268 43).
