A local teacher accused of grabbing a 13-year-old student's neck and pushing him into the ground has appeared in Mandurah Magistrates Court.
The alleged incident happened in August with the Halls Head charged after it was reported to police.
Dean Taki Wihongi was suspended after being charged with assaulting a high school student in a classroom.
The 48-year-old will be back in Mandurah Court next month.
