The man who allegedly kidnapped Cleo Smith is set to be transported to a Perth prison today.
Terence Darrell Kelly appeared in the Carnarvon Magistrates Court on Thursday afternoon, charged with one count of forcibly taking a child under 16.
The 36-year-old became angry at the media presence inside the court room saying "I'm coming for you" and "what are you staring at".
No application for bail was made but his lawyer did apply for a suppression order which was denied by Magistrate Benjamin White.
Kelly, who was not required to enter a plea to his charge, will face the Perth Magistrates Court on December 4.
Kelly allegedly abducted Cleo from her family's tent at the Blowholes campsite in the early hours of October 16 before holding her captive in his home in Carnarvon for 18 days.
He was arrested on Tuesday night after police pulled his car over in Carnarvon.
Cleo was rescued shortly after.
She was found inside a room playing with toys.
Photos on Kelly's social media pages show a room lined with shelves stacked with dolls.
His Facebook posts revealed his obsession with collecting Bratz dolls.
