Twenty year old Aya Hismeh appeared in court today charged with the murder of 17 year old Jacob Cummins, a former Safety Bay High School student.

Police have charged her with murder and attempting to unlawfully kill four others. At least two of the injured boys remain in hospital.
Miss Hismeh is likely to spend Christmas and most of January behind bars awaiting trial, but was told she could seek legal advice to consider applying for bail ahead of that date.
A vigil will be held at Scarborough beach for Jacob Cummins as tributes continue to flow across Facebook.
