The Australian Boomers came to blows with the Philippines national team during World Cup qualifiers.
It's a brawl which has drawn criticism from around the globe.
The Australian Boomers team ended their first round FIBA World Cup Asian qualifiers by throwing punches against their Filipino competitors.
The Aussies were leading by 31 points in a 79-48 clash when the fight broke out in the third quarter.
Australian player Chris Goulding was elbowed in the face following a Filipino offensive foul.
The confrontation between Goulding and another player prompted Daniel Kickert to elbow the Philippine's Roger Ray Pogoy, which then ignited a full court brawl.
Fox Sports commentator Matt Russell was commentating Monday's clash when the fight broke out.
“These are sad, disgraceful, deplorable scenes in the Philippines,” Russell said on Fox Sports as he watched a violent, abhorrent brawl take place between the Philippines and Australia," he said from behind the microphone.
“I have never seen anything like this in all my years covering professional sport involving Australian teams.”
