About Port Bouvard
Port Bouvard is the name given to the region of Mandurah surrounding the famous Dawesville Channel. Its magnificent waterways and Mediterranean climate have made it one of WA’s favourite destinations for boat lovers and holidaymakers alike. Port Bouvard is well known for its beautiful canal homes, international links golf course, and close proximity to the Peel Inlet and Harvey Estuary systems, as well as the Indian Ocean.
The Peel Inlet and Harvey Estuary Systems are home to abundant wildlife, including the blue swimmer crab and western king prawns. Fish species such as herring, bream, whiting, tailor, cobbler, and many others abound. It is also a significant base for migratory waterbirds, including the red-necked stint, bar-tailed godwit, ruddy turnstone, and the curlew sandpiper. You’ll also see galahs, pelicans, various seabirds, and of course, dolphins.
